In early October 2016, Hurricane Matthew passed through the Caribbean and devastated an already impoverished Haiti. Hundreds of people were left dead, thousands injured, crops destroyed, and towns leveled. Reach Out WorldWide deployed a team of medical professionals, including a doctor, EMTs, and paramedics. Our team was based in Les Cayes and we extended our efforts into Port Salut, Roche-a-Bateau, St. Jean and other rural surrounding communities.
ROWW brought in medical supplies, food, and water filtration devices. We were able to treat over 300 patients and provide filters capable of treating 10,000,000 gallons of water.
